One of the major aspects of our business over recent years has been our consultancy work. With a global network of contacts built up over years of TV producing and our own travels and expeditions, we are able to help you plan pretty much any expedition, madcap idea, honeymoon, adventure or TV series across the entire Silk Road region and beyond. Whatever idea you have, wherever it is, and by whatever means you want to do it – we’re here to help.
“It was so good to know that they were there for us, always at the end of the phone or email and knowing the right people to get us through seemingly impossible situations.”
Our knowledge doesn’t end at the Silk Road region. We’ve filmed and run expeditions in Southeast Asia, Indonesia, India, Bolivia, South Africa, Botswana, Cameroon, Mongolia, Siberia and more, so are able to help you in those regions too.
“We couldn’t have done it without Marley and team behind the scenes.”
We also provide route consultancy, not just along the Silk Road but globally. There aren’t many companies out there who will organise a multi-vehicle trip across fifteen or more countries and provide not only door to door shipping, visas and permits, full route planning and every other aspect of the required labyrinthine logistics needed, but also put you in touch with medical trainers, generate risk assessments, hire satellite phones or GPS trackers and provide 24/7 telephone and email support and associated Base Camp services. We are one of those companies, and we love that kind of work.
“Superb route planning, very accurate and clearly they knew the roads.”
One example of this was organising the 2018 “Band of Bikers” Rally between Bangkok and Tbilisi, Georgia, for which we arranged all the logistics (shipping, visas, route, risk assessments, guides, GPS tracking, medical training etc) for the five motorcyclists taking part. The trip was a great success and raised over £10,000 for the charity Action Aid, plus more for local charities along the way.
“An eight week journey like this needs a strong team effort at basecamp. They did this and did it really well, thank you.”
And don’t just take it from us, here are some of the team providing feedback in their own words:
We’ve also helped small teams get the best from their time in a particular country by making sure that overrated sights are avoided and suggesting alternative little gems that others might have missed. We have route-planned several long distance trips now so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss a project.
